Raphael's tomb, Pantheon, Rome

The tomb of Raphael can be visited when visiting the Pantheon, in Rome.

Raphael died, aged 37, in 1520 and left us with marvellous pieces of work.

On his tomb we can read:

 

“Living, great nature feared he might outvie

Her works; and dying fears herself to die.”
